On Thursday 26th September, Aston Shaw held a charity golf day in support of East Anglian Air Ambulance, our charity partner of the year. We invited our colleagues and friends along for this special day at Dunston Hall, and we’re pleased to report that the day was successful, raising almost £3000!
All 19 teams enjoyed a day of golf and on-course activities, along with a delicious 2-course meal in the evening followed by a charity raffle which saw individuals go home with gifts of wine, spirits, event tickets, and even a signed pennant from Norwich City Football Club’s first-team squad!
Our inaugural golf day proved so successful that we already have plans to make it an annual event. Aston Shaw’s golf day wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the participants and our sponsors; Barclays Business Banking, Loveday & Partners and Rooftop Gardens. So, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved.
All profits from the golf day will go directly to East Anglian Air Ambulance, helping them to continue their lifesaving work. This fantastic charity relies heavily on the generosity of its supporters, as contrary to what most people think, they receive no government funding. It is therefore solely down to supporters to keep East Anglian Air Ambulance in the skies.
We plan on holding several other events and initiatives throughout the year to further support East Anglian Air Ambulance.
