Aston Shaw celebrates this week after once again obtaining the highly sought-after ‘Platinum ACCA Approved Employer’ status.
In May, the company participated in the ACCA Approved Employer Review, and we are delighted to confirm that we have retained our ‘platinum’ level status for a further three years – the highest obtainable award.
The ACCA Approved Employer Programme recognises an employer’s high standard of staff training and development. The closing report highlighted the company’s “robust training and development programme” as a result of the Platinum level Trainee Development status it possesses.
In order to become an ACCA approved employer, a company must:
- Provide formal recognition that it is committed to providing learning and development opportunities to its finance staff.
- Provide an accessible global standard which enables organisations to compare their learning and development support against a global benchmark.
- Provide fast-track specific ACCA business processes.
We have also continued our ACCA Professional Development Approval, which aims to recognise the learning opportunities a company provides for ACCA members and the support they offer for continuing their professional development (CPD). This means ACCA members working within the firm can achieve their CPD through the firm’s development programme, and are not required to follow the unit route.
Holding this status has many benefits, such as showcasing our commitment to our existing employees, and attracting talented individuals to our firm.
