On Sunday 5th August, ‘Run Norwich’ returns to the fine city, an event we couldn’t be prouder to sponsor. Half-way along the route, runners will encounter a formidable obstacle, the Aston Shaw Mountain.
The Aston Shaw Mountain can be found on Rose Lane, right near our Head Office in fact, hence the name Aston Shaw Mountain. This stretch of the route is particularly challenging because the #ASMountain is long, and it is steep.
If you’re running the 10k, the question shouldn’t just be will you complete the race, but will you conquer the Aston Shaw Mountain? You’ll know when you’re approaching the mountain because we’ll tell you. We’ll be there cheering you on, spurring you on from the base of the mountain to reach the summit. Keep your eyes peeled for the spectacle that is our cheer station, there will be signs warning you of the approach, there’ll be a balloon arch, there’ll be music and there’ll be us, members of staff cheering you on and encouraging you to conquer the Aston Shaw Mountain. We hope that our encouragement will not only get you to the top of the Aston Shaw Mountain, but over the finish line too.
Oh, and you’ll be live on our Facebook page as we capture the moment you muster the energy to begin the ascent. So, make sure you smile! Full footage will later be available on our YouTube channel, so be sure to check back on our website after the race.
We look forward to seeing you there, we wish you good luck, and most importantly, that you have a good time.
Prior to the race, at the Run Norwich Expo held at The Forum (where you’ll be collecting your race pack), we’ll have our own stand. Come and say hello to be in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher for Rooftop Gardens! Entering is easy, simply pose for a photo in our “Will You Conquer the Aston Shaw Mountain?” selfie frame. That’s not all, you’ll receive an additional entry for every social network you like/follow us on!
So that you don’t miss your chance of winning this fantastic prize, please be sure to visit our stand at the Run Norwich Expo at The Forum on either Friday 3rd August or Saturday 4th August. We’ll see you then!
