The number of new start-up businesses in 2015 has reached a record high.  According to StartUp Britain, 600,000 are expected to be created in 2015 and The Centre for Entrepreneurs recently revealed that the number of annual start-ups is increasing year-on-year.

In 2011, there were 440,600 new start-ups. In 2014, this number has increased to 581,173 and it is because of this rapid increase that StartUP Britain predict that in 2015 there will be a record 600,000 new start-ups.

StartUp Britain is a government-backed national enterprise campaign that was first launched in March 2011 – with an objective is to provide inspiration and support to aspiring entrepreneurs. The campaign answers the government’s call for an ‘enterprise led’ recovery following the recession. The campaign is currently its fourth tour and will end in Inverness on August 8th.
