Aston Shaw is delighted to announce that experienced Client Manager, Chris Lock, will be taking up the position of Tax Consultant.
Chris started at Aston Shaw as a trainee over five years ago and has now made the bold decision to specialise in taxation. Chris says, “The experience I’ve gained from my Client Manager role has given me a good understanding of the many different fields within accountancy. Now that I have this understanding, I’ve decided that taxation is an area I would like to specialise in.”
“All those who work in accountancy face the decision of whether they want to specialise in a particular area or be an all-rounder. For me, I’ve decided I’d like to specialise in tax due to the constant challenges it presents. I can’t wait to get started!”
Aston Shaw has a strong and growing tax team that places an emphasis on client service. The team regularly provides practical advice of real value to local businesses and private individuals. Chris joins the department at a pivotal moment, at a time where the tax team is busier and involved in a wider range of projects than ever before.

Chris will continue to work with his existing clients as normal, so current clients of Chris can rest assured knowing nothing will change in terms of the service they receive.
