We’re proud to announce that we are now Cyber Essentials certified! This certificate verifies that Aston Shaw’s IT defences were assessed and found to adhere to the high standards set out by Cyber Essentials. This demonstrates that we are taking all the necessary steps to ensure the security of our client’s information.
The Cyber Essentials scheme is a security standard endorsed by the government which organisations can opt to be assessed and certified against. Its purpose is to identify the security controls that a company must have in place for them to have confidence that they are addressing cyber security and mitigating risk for internet-based users.
Most cyber-attacks exploit basic (and often easily avoidable) weaknesses in an organisations IT systems and software. Cyber Essentials helps to shine a light on these weak areas so that fixes can be implemented. Once these vulnerabilities have been addressed, the company in question is awarded their Cyber Essentials accreditation.
As an ever-expanding business, to receive certification for this is excellent news and an indicator that we are making steps in the right direction. Here at Aston Shaw, we take cyber security very seriously and by achieving this certification, we’ve demonstrated a willingness to solve a problem before it arises.
