An apprentice working for Aston Shaw Chartered Certified Accountants, has been recognised for achieving top marks for the Institute of Financial Studies (IFS) Certificate in Financial Studies (CeFS).
Michaella Dove, 19 completed her IFS Certificate (CeFS) after one year of study at East Norfolk Sixth Form College and was delighted to achieve an overall A* grade. Her results came in the top 1% of all 7000 students who sat the examination in the UK this year and were the highest that have ever been achieved on record.
On receiving her award, Michaella Dove commented: “This was a course I really enjoyed studying and I worked hard in the run up to my exams, but I was still surprised to achieve an award for my grade. Now, I’m looking forward to putting the knowledge I gained into my day-to-day work as an apprentice at Aston Shaw’.
Mark Noakes, Director of Aston Shaw, said: ‘It really is a remarkable achievement – we at Aston Shaw are very proud to nurture fledgling young talent and Michaella’s success is a great example of the potential of our apprentices.’
This outstanding achievement was honoured by a special presentation at East Norfolk Sixth Form College, where Michaella was presented with an award and a bursary for further study from David Anderson, Chairman, IFS.
