14 Members of Staff to Climb 24 Peaks in 24 Hours to Raise Money for EACH

July 2016

Last year our main charity event was a skydive. This year we are continuing our support for EACH, but this time we have something very different planned. Though different, this event will be every bit as challenging.

24 Peaks in 24 Hours is an endurance challenge in which teams must reach the peak of 24 mountains/hills in the Lake District within 24 hours. As far as challenge events go, the 24 peaks is ‘the big one.’ Over two days successful teams will have covered some 44 kilometers (33 miles) and climbed a total height equal to half that of Mt Everest, all this within a combined time of 24 hours!

The event will be taking place on Saturday 24th September and Sunday 25th September. The event will be run by Mountain Sense, and all sponsorship money goes directly to EACH (East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices).

EACH supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, and Suffolk and relies heavily on donations from fundraising activities. The money raised will largely go towards the nook appeal; EACH is raising money for a new, bespoke hospice to be built in the heart of Norfolk. The new hospice will be much better equipped to provide the services that the children need and will bring new facilities for the children to enjoy.
